Tank Removal Case Study
At the Kings County Hospital Center, located in Brooklyn, New York, LAUREL's principal supervised the removal of six 50,000 gallon USTs that had contained #6 fuel oil, as well as three smaller USTs. All of the USTs had pinholes and had leaked visible amounts of product on the soil within the excavations. Non-hazardous petroleum contaminated soil was taken off-site to a NYSDEC approved recycling facility.
